Be kind to one another, create systems that build and most importantly show love and compassion.
The past is the stepping stone to learn, grow and be better in the future.
Be the good change in people you meet.
How can we maximise our time and get results quicker and get great outcomes?
I ask myself this question daily. We live in a world that changes quicker than a heartbeat… I have found that retreating into my sanctuary…God, Prayer and family- (the one God put me in and the one he hand-picked for my journey)….has brought me back to the place I left off and had no idea how to get back to. During the holidays I sit back and reflect on all the ups, downs, happy, tear-filled days of the year and take the time to thank God for all the good and bad. Everything is a life lesson and what we take from it and grow in ourselves helps build us to be the best versions of ourselves. I choose to be happy everyday, there is always something to smile about.
Decision making is a fine art. Find your happy place and retreat to it any time you feel the pressure of the world draining you.
Wishing you all happy holidays, time with family and prosperity in 2015.
Audrey Hepburn a film and fashion icon would have been 85 today (4th of May). Her quirky, chic style always inspires me when I choose to dress up. She is absolutely gorgeous
My list to ‘being Audrey’:
1. Find your style and own it
2. You can never own too many black dresses.
3. Own a sexy LBD
4. Dance, sing, laugh…be happy
5. Be passionate about what you choose to do in life
6. Have fabulous quotes:
I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.
Have a fabulous day loves xxx

I love rainy days- especially if I don’t have to leave home, that is the best..I grab a cup of tea, curl up on the couch and watch old movies (& blog ). I love the sound and smell of rain, rain is a chance for the earth to rehydrate and keep creating the pretty that is spring.
Alas, I did go to the studio today 🙂 I’m obsessing over making my space gorgeous- it is taking longer than I wanted it to but I will get there and post some ‘after’ pics.
Here are a few staying indoors tips:
Well, whatever you do on rainy days-look at it as a relax day and enjoy
Adding a few pics of the studio below
Till the next post
Spring is bringing forth invites to fabulous events, rooftop hangouts and boutique parties. One such invite was to a boutique in Capitol Hill, Pinktini. Beyond the fabulous finds in the store, gorgeous dresses, stunning accessories and beautiful decor; the boutique owner, Danna is as awesome as her boutique. Her bubbly personality and knack for sourcing and stocking such fabulous pieces had me gaga about Pinktini.
Below are a few pics…enjoy and definitely make your way to this fab store…
Head over for the Posh and Pink Series every Thursday from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m starting April 17th, 2014 . Go mingle and enjoy discounts, giveaways and PINK champagne!

Working around children is one of the best things I ever did in my life- children are real, speak their minds, their honest to a fault and love unconditionally if you love them too.
Everyday is a learning curve for them and you. I know without fail I will smile, laugh, shake my head and be like ‘huh’ every single day. They teach you the art of patience, love, learning, appreciation, respect and trust. (I have met some bad-BAD kids, but that said for the most part I have only encountered the kind of children that warm my heart and bring me joy.)
Sitting down with one of these joys, 8yr old ‘A’- (this young guy has moments of bordering good and bad- he skates the thin line strategically) he said something that made me laugh so hard I was so close to falling off my seat. He looked at me and said, ‘What’s so funny? Do you think what I am saying is that funny?’ ‘Can you not see that I require (requested tool) for my experiment to be successful, great inventors need these.’ I looked at him and said,’no, you have actually opened my eyes to seeing the world in a new way and have inspired me to write a childrens book.’ He says, ‘Well that’s great, does that mean I will be in it?’ to that said, ‘yes you are the star of my book.’
Since that moment our conversations are wittier, funnier and just down right things books are made of.
I have always journaled, written in some way or another- hello blog! But have never been so inspired as I was in that 1 moment. In true Ruby fashion I had to do the research, understand what I would be taking on and filter all my commitments. In as much as I would want this book to be out and ready with the click of a finger (don’t we all wish we could snap snap and be done with things in as quickly as we could snap…sigh) I had to do a rundown of my current commitments-jobs, life, personal growth. (Thats a blog post for another day) What I know now is that in following our dreams, gut and visions we can achieve great things accomplish the extraordinary and live happy lives. I cant wait to share with you ‘The tales of A’- A not so children’s book (clearly it is still a working title- the bottomline is it won’t be relegated to the children’s book section only)
Wishing you all an awesome week filled with laughter, joy and love

So thankful spring is officially here- Couldn’t possibly deal with anymore cold #sigh…
I have spent too many nights & days indoors. time to start packing away coats and lose some layers of clothing.
I have been looking for swimwear inspiration for an upcoming trip and of course in true Nouveau Vintage style I turned to yesteryear for inspiration.
These women from the 40’s, 50’s, 60’s etc really knew how to sex it up without over sexualizing swimwear as is the case nowadays.
This weekend I have a shopping trip planned for a client and will definitely be looking out for some vintage inspired swim suits.
Here’s to Spring!

Renewed. Redeemed by Jesus. I had my ups and downs. I laughed and cried. I had pains and beautiful days. I had moments of china tea cups and moments of beers. I had days when I felt like dressing up and days when I couldn’t even pull-off a lip gloss. Mornings of fresh face and evenings of break-outs. I’ve had wardrobe malfunctions and days when I forgot my toothbrush during a trip. Good news is the trials will continue as I live on. This is a blog wherein you will read about my thoughts, life experiences and testimonies on God’s goodness. A journal of my life’s journey and advertisements on my perky-girly days. I am a woman, an ezer kenegdo and this is my world.
