Finding oneself in the craziness is a journey in itself…looking to ring off 2014 with a firm grasp on where I will be going in 2015. Making money…keeping myself in shape and being creative.

So ready…are you?

Pinktini, fabulousness in the Hill

Business, Fashionista, Uncategorized

Spring is bringing forth invites to fabulous events, rooftop hangouts and boutique parties. One such invite was to a boutique in Capitol Hill, Pinktini. Beyond the fabulous finds in the store, gorgeous dresses, stunning accessories and beautiful decor; the boutique owner, Danna is as awesome as her boutique. Her bubbly personality and knack for sourcing and stocking such fabulous pieces had me gaga about Pinktini.

Below are a few pics…enjoy and definitely make your way to this fab store…

Head over for the Posh and Pink Series every Thursday from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m starting April 17th, 2014 . Go mingle and enjoy discounts, giveaways and PINK champagne!

I have finally found a great space to work full-time from, within my minimal budget and with 90% of my must haves..#doing a little dance right now. It has taken a while but the time is here now.

Keep pushing for what you believe in, speak on it, see it, know it is yours and it will be!

Been working on some styling advise/wardrobe revamping and thrift shopping for a client and thought I would share with you all my process…

  • Firstly I have a chat with my client and find out what they are looking to do with their style by asking a few key questions (short sample)
  • Then we discuss budget- I have a lot of clients that specifically hire me for my ability to find amazing thrift-ed pieces. I work with any budget- as a lifestylist I’m all about maximizing my clients budgets and getting them the most..’Trying to make a dollar out of 15c’ as it were…
  • Once that’s all done, I build a full profile:  image/mood board, wardrobe cleanse, shopping trip, styling session and final meeting

A lot of work goes into this sort of business..well all businesses take a lot of work- if you are passionate about what you do it won’t feel like work.

My latest client loves Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. These gorgeous twins are inspiring, hardworking and very stylish, makes sense for my client to want to dress like them.

Back to work for me, more blogging later

Been having a rough start to the year, and I am so ready for things to start falling into place…needless to say the anxiety levels have been at a record high. Then I came across this pretty picture and decided I can’t make things work as I always want them to and sometimes we just have to be.

How to: Handle holiday drinking like a pro

Uncategorized

image

Oh don’t judge me…I do like wine…& vodka…& tequila & most importantly at this time of the year champagne…BUBBLES…heaven lol

My initial title for this ‘How to:’ was Overcoming stress over the holidays…BORING right-how many overcoming stress blog posts are out there? Figured I’d address my usual stress reliever (although since I decided to do my bucket list- {http://bucketlist.org/list/RubyNicole/} and work on my fitness-I’m slowly cutting out alcohol-yes I am crazy for choosing now to start..anywaaaaaaay back to the post…)

So if you are like me and are abstaining from excessive holiday drinking till January 2nd….I have a few tips you might like to try in between deciding on last minute gifts, holiday dinner, mailing holiday cards and gifts; and where you will be/or who will be giving you that new years kiss…

1. Dance it out– dress up, meet up with friends and just dance

2. Go for a walk/jog/yoga-take some time out for yourself, ditch the phone and just walk

3. Talk about it– I had to learn this one…fear of judgement is a serious problem (working on it)

4. Breathe

5. Go to bed earlier– enough rest at night gives you time to shutdown and rest

6. Focus on what you can control-postal delivery times and raucous guests #shrug&trynumber4-ten times if you have to

7. Reminisce about good times– pleasant memories always make me smile even when I’m crying

8. Ask for a hug-or give hugs, you never know who might need one too

9. Look for opportunities in lifes challenges– there’s always something we miss when we are too busy stressing

10. Smile

Well after thats all said n done I’m ready to have a glass of bubbly…However I will stay away from that tempting bottle in my refrigerator and start by trying out #1, #4, #7 and definitely #10….

I would like to wish you all happy holidays, great times with friends & family and an awesome end to 2013
